How to get fit quick with HIIT, to lose weight with a busy lifestyle
Have you ever heard of HIIT? It stands for high intensity interval training and you can get fit fast and see results in the shortest time possible.
What is HIIT
HIIT is when you do short periods of vigorous exercise followed by periods of rest. It is a great way to get fit fast.
This is why you will get fit fast with HIIT
Working at higher intensities allows you to burn more calories compared to working at a lower intensity.
You can burn the same amount of calories by working at a lower intensity, but it will take 3 to 4 times longer.
I am not saying that there is anything wrong with low intensity training, but this article is called how to get fit fast, and if you are serious about achieving this than read on!
Here is an example of some exercises you can use for HIIT.
I demonstrate exercises you can do for HIIT that are both explosive in nature as well as vigorous. In this video I demonstrate a standing long jump and press up combination.
Why should I do this combination?
This combination works the lower body than your upper body. It is important when you do HIIT that you switch from upper body to lower body to prolong exercise.
For example, if you just kept doing press ups only it would only be a matter of time before your arms and chest started to fatigue.
However, by switching to your legs with the standing long jumps your upper body has the opportunity to rest, but you still are able to keep working. or are perfect exercises for HIIT.
How to use these exercises in a HIIT routine to get fit fast!
1) If you wanted to use this as a HIIT work out you could do 10 seconds of standing long jumps followed by 5 seconds of rest.
2) After your first fie second rest period change exercise and do 10 seconds of press ups followed by 5 seconds of rest. Than go back to standing long jumps and repeat this sequence for4 reps. (1 minute).
3) Rest for 2 minutes (1:2 rest ratio) and than repeat the standing long jumps and press up combination for another minute and rest for 2 minutes. Repeat this 4 times in total J
This is a simple but very effective type of interval training workout. Try this at home or outside
